ASICS sets the dial for 1987, in more ways than one. The original GEL-Lyte married a breezy 9.9 ounce construction, featherweight by the standards of the time, to the shock dispersing GEL cushioning that ASICS had rolled out during the previous year. 

This multi-colored edition of the original GEL-Lyte outfits the classic mesh/leather running shoe formula in a vivid, 1980s palette. All that's missing is the geometrically patterned nylon tracksuit.
